Therefore, preventing it from occurring is obviously the first thing in your mind. We are going to see how we can avoid this nuisance but first, let's learn why your feet stinks so that we can know its remedies.

Why feet smell after removing shoes.

Feet have approximately 250,000 sweat glands. This number is too large and can produce almost a pint of sweat per hot day. Now there are bacteria in your socks, shoes and feet. These bacteria feed on the sweat and break it down thus producing isoverlic acid. This acid is the one responsible for the stinking. Other factors that can make your feet to stink are:
✓Overwearing shoes.
✓Poor hygiene.
✓Some disease.

Remedies

✓Keep your feet and  shoes clean- Cleaning your shoes and feet will rid you of the bacteria that are responsible for the stinking. Cleaning your feet with soap prefferably antibacterial like detol will be an advantage.
✓Soak your feet in epsom- Soaking your feet in epsom helps to kill bacteria and at the same time helps to relax feet muscles.
✓Choose well ventilated shoes- Well perforated shoes will enable evaporation of sweat hence preventing it from accumulating in the shoes. It also helps to improve air circulation in the shoes hence helping to rid your feet of already formed smell. Even though some occasions may make you choose unventilated shoes like official duties, you can still visit your favourite store and buy sli0ghtly ventilated shoes of the same design. Aeration of shoes will also boost your comfort as it will prevent overheating of feet.
✓Give your shoes a break- Giving your feet at least a 24 hours break before wearing again will reduce the stinking. Keeping them outside is even better but give thieves and rain extra attention .
✓Use wicking socks- Wicking socks helps absorb sweat and expose it to environment through shoe perforations hence sweat will evaporate. Such socks are mostly made of Merino wool and olefin blend.
✓Apply baking soda- Applying baking soda to shoes overnight will reduce the odour.
✓Vinegar spray- Mix water with vinegar  in the ratio of 1:1. Mix well and spray to the shoes. Leave them to dry for atleast 30 minutes before wearing.
⚠️ Caution-Take care not to spray on the outer part as vinegar can dissolve some dye and discolour the shoes.

It's no wonder that store shelves are overflowing with gum, mints, mouthwashes and other products designed to fight bad breath. But many of these products are only temporary measures because they don't address the cause of the problem. Certain foods, health conditions and habits are among the causes of bad breath. In many cases, you can improve bad breath with consistent proper dental hygiene. If simple self-care techniques don't solve the problem, see your dentist or physician to be sure a more serious condition isn't causing your bad breath. SYMPTOMS Bad breath odors vary, depending on the source or the underlying cause. Some people worry too much about their breath even though they have little or no mouth odor, while others have bad breath and don't know it.
