How plastic eggs are made and their harmful effects.

Plastic eggs is a term used to generally refer to artificial eggs. You've probably heard about the presence of plastic eggs in the marked and who knows, maybe you have ever enjoyed it for super. They were originally made in China but currently they have spread their roots to Thailand, India and Pakistan. A raid was conducted in Guangzhou China and found many plastic eggs retailing at $0.003 which is almost a quarter the normal price.

Making plastic eggs

Ingredients vary with time and the country of manufacture.
Procedure
The egg yolk is made by using artificial yellow colour that is mixed with another yellow material (it's unknown how some of the above ingredients are mixed to produce the yellow material). The liquid is poured to egg-shaped moulds and mixed with water containing Ca(OH)₂ making the thin outer yellow layer.
Parafin wax and a white liwuid are then poured to the eggs and left to dry so as to form shells.

Harmful health effects of artificial eggs

  • Gluconolactone- causes metabolic disorders.
  • Benzoic acid- Harmful to brain and nerve cells. Causes liver disorders and senile dementia.
  • Calcium chloride- Affects body's ability to produce blood.
  • Cellulose and amino acid- affect body metabolism.
  • Food flavours- may cause stomach illnesses.
  • Sodium alginate- increases blood pressure, causes poor bone health and heart failure.
  • Gelatin- kidney failure.
